Luxor and Aswan Nile Cruise Trip from Cairo during Christmas

Start your day in Cairo with a breakfast at your hotel before meeting your Egyptologist guide. First up is the Giza plateau to see the pyramids; the Great Pyramid, built over 4,500 years ago, still stands as one of the wonders of the world. Next, marvel at the Great Sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a man.

After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, head to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. This museum holds over 120,000 artifacts spanning Egypt's entire history, including the treasures from King Tutankhamun's tomb.

Then it's off to Coptic Cairo to visit historic churches and a synagogue like the Hanging Church, Church of St. Sergius, and Ben Ezra Synagogue. These attractions will give you an authentic experience of Cairo's Coptic history.

Next up is Islamic Cairo! Visit the famous Khan el-Khalili market, the oldest bazaar in the world, for a glimpse of daily life and some souvenir shopping. Then relax with a cup of tea at a local cafe.

You'll wrap up your full day of sightseeing by boarding an overnight train to Luxor. Enjoy dinner and breakfast as you travel in comfort to the "City of the Living."

Your breakfast will be served on the train. Once you arrive in Luxor, a representative from Cairo Top Tours will meet you and assist you in boarding the luxurious 5-star MS Royal Lily Egypt Nile Cruise. After enjoying a delicious lunch on board, we'll begin our tour of Luxor's East Bank.

Our first stop will be the impressive Karnak Temples, which are the largest man-made religious complex in the world. Next, we'll visit the Temple of Luxor. Once we've finished our Luxor East Bank Tours, you'll have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset from the Nile cruise before dinner is served. To close the evening on a high note, we'll also have entertainment shows on board. It's a perfect way to end your first day on the Nile River cruise. You'll be provided with breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the day.

Once you've had your breakfast buffet, your knowledgeable guide will accompany you on the West Bank of Luxor tour. You'll get to see the impressive Colossi of Memnon and two massive statues of Amenophis III. Next, you'll visit the fascinating Valley of the Kings, where more than 60 pharaohs from the New Kingdom period were buried, including famous kings like Tutankhamun and Ramses II. The tombs, which are carved into the Theban Mountain, are richly decorated with captivating paintings and colors. When the valley was discovered, it was full of gold and treasures that the Pharaohs had prepared to enjoy during their eternal life after death.

After exploring the Valley of the Kings, we'll visit the Queen Hatshepsut Temple, also known as El Deir El Bahari, which was built by her famous architect. Hatshepsut was the first female ruler in written history. Then we'll head back to the ship for a good-quality lunch on our way to Edfu.

As soon as we board the Nile cruise, it will start sailing, and you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes during tea time. Your onboard dinner will be served in the evening, followed by a music and dancing show and entertainment. You'll spend the night on board the Nile cruise, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast before embarking on your Aswan day tour. You'll be taken by horse carriage to visit the well-preserved Temple of Edfu, which was dedicated to the falcon God Horus during the Ptolemaic era. After completing your visit to the temple, your carriage will bring you back to the ship, which will set sail towards Aswan and make a stop at Kom Ombo.

At Kom Ombo, you'll have the chance to walk off the boat and explore the impressive Temple of Kom Ombo, which was dedicated to the crocodile gods Sobek and Haroeris. Your guide will accompany you back to the MS Royal Lily Nile Cruise, where you'll enjoy a delicious lunch on board. In the afternoon, we'll start sailing towards Aswan.

Enjoy dinner on board in the evening and spend the night in Aswan. You'll be provided with breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the day.

Enjoy a delightful breakfast while taking in the charming view of the Nile. We'll begin our Aswan excursions by touring the famous High Dam, which is one of the most important development projects in Egypt. Then we'll move on to the wonderful Philae Temple, which is dedicated to the Goddess Isis and was built in 280 B.C. during the reign of Ptolemy II Philadelphus. The temple is beautifully situated on an island, and we can reach it after an amazing boat ride.

Our tour will continue to the granite quarries in Aswan, where we'll visit the largest known Obelisk. It was left unfinished, inspiring scientists to learn more about how many granite monoliths were freed from the quarry. The Unfinished Obelisk was most probably carved by Queen Hatshepsut.

After the tour, we'll take you back to your Egypt Nile River Cruise, where you'll enjoy a fine dinner and spend the last night on board your magical Nile cruise. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the day's meals.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast on board the MS Royal Lily Nile cruise before disembarking and beginning your free day in Aswan. You can choose to relax and explore the city at your own pace, or you can book one of our optional tours. One such tour is the Optional Tour to Abu Simbel, where you can see the Great Temple of Abu Simbel, dedicated to the worship of Ramses II,  and the small temple of Nefertari. Both were excavated out of the solid rock of a mountain and are truly awe-inspiring. Another option is a tour to the Nubian Village or a Felucca ride in Aswan.

Later in the evening, your Cairo Top Tours guide will escort you to the Aswan railway station to board the Sleeper Train back to Cairo. A light dinner will be served onboard, and you'll spend the night inside your private compartment. Breakfast and dinner are included in the day's meals.

You'll enjoy a light breakfast aboard the train before arriving at Giza railway station, where a guide from Cairo Top Tours will meet you and accompany you to your hotel. We'll do our best to check you in as early as possible, so you can settle in and start exploring Cairo. You can choose to experience one of our best optional Cairo excursions for the rest of the day. You'll be served an early breakfast at approximately 8 a.m. at your hotel in Cairo. You can choose to enjoy one of our optional Cairo day tours or simply relax until it's time for your flight.
